Mike’s Guide Service | Mike Estrin
Like a lot of Minnesotans, I grew up fishing on our many lakes and was “hooked” on this sport at an early age. In 1993 I fished Lake Vermilion for the first time, and it instantly became my lake of choice. My wife, kids and I have many good memories of camping and fishing on Vermilion over the years, along with many friends and relatives I had the privilege to take fishing on this beautiful lake. I have enjoyed participating in the City Glass Walleye Tournament for several years, placing both 4th and 7th, and also the Governor’s Opener in 2005. I specialize in walleye but also enjoy finding the many other species Vermilion has to offer. I have recently made Cook, Minnesota my home and plan on guiding on this lake for many years to come. My goal as a guide is to teach fishing techniques and knowledge about the lake to anglers of any age which they can take with them and, of course, to land as many fish as possible and have a memorable experience on Lake Vermilion.
